Like Any Project We Need Your Support.
All donations and sponsorship will go towards the funding, creation and installation of a permanent statue to Emily Wilding Davison in Epsom town centre the town where Emily died for Votes For Women.
Our intention is to hold a fitting commemoration and unveiling event in 2019. In order to do this, we need to raise £50,000 . If you wish to donate please click on the donate button below.
If you wish to be one of our major sponsors and are looking to make a donation of £1,000 or more please email firstname.lastname@example.org
The project is organised and run by volunteers. Without your support this project will not happen and Emily will not have the recognition she deserves in the town where she died fighting for women to have the right to vote. Something we take for granted today.
As the slogan for the Women’s Social and Political Union states “DEEDS NOT WORDS”
PLEASE NOTE: We have the full support of Epsom & Ewell Borough Council and Surrey County Council. In the unlikely event that we are unable to raise this amount and the project is unable to go ahead, we will donate the money raised equally to the Fawcett Society and Women’s Aid. However, we are confident that with your support this will not be necessary and any remaining funds, once the statue has been unveiled, will also be donated equally to both charities.
